Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) (Amendment) Regulations 1999 and shall come into force on 4th June 1999.

Section 2 Amendment of the recovery and recycling targets for 1999 and 2000

Schedule 2 (recovery and recycling obligations) to the Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations 1997 is amended as follows–

(a) at the end of paragraph 4(a), add “and 43% respectively”;

(b) in paragraph 4(b), for “43%” substitute “45%”;

(c) at the end of paragraph 5(a), add “and 10% respectively”, and

(d) in paragraph 5(b), for “11%” substitute “13%”.
