Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 (Amendment of Section 23) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 1st July 1999.

Section 2 Amendment of section 23 of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993

(1) Subsection (2) of section 23 of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 (the distributing bodies) shall be amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) to (6) below.

(2) In paragraph (a) (as to 83.3 per cent., for distribution by the English Sports Council) for “83.3 per cent.” there shall be substituted “75.6 per cent.”.

(3) In paragraph (b) (as to 8.9 per cent., for distribution by the Scottish Sports Council) for “8.9 per cent.” there shall be substituted “8.1 per cent.”.

(4) In paragraph (c) (as to 5 per cent., for distribution by the Sports Council for Wales) for “5 per cent.” there shall be substituted “4.5 per cent. ”.

(5) In paragraph (d) (as to 2.8 per cent., for distribution by the Sports Council for Northern Ireland) for “2.8 per cent.” there shall be substituted “ 2.6 per cent.”.

(6) After paragraph (d) there shall be inserted–

(e) as to 9.2 per cent., for distribution by the United Kingdom Sports Council.
