Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the M6 Motorway (Junction 38 Slip Roads) (Speed Limit) Regulations 1999 and shall come into force on 12th July 1999.

Section 2 Imposition of speed limit

(1) No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour on any specified slip road.

(2) Each of the following slip roads at junction 38 of the M6 Motorway is a “specified slip road”–

(a) the northbound exit slip road between its junction with the northbound carriageway of the M6 and its junction with the A685 roundabout;

(b) the northbound entry slip road between its junction with the A685 roundabout and its junction with the northbound carriageway of the M6;

(c) the southbound exit slip road between its junction with the southbound carriageway of the M6 and its junction with the northbound exit slip road.
