The West Midlands (Coroners' Districts) (Amendment) Order 1999
(1) This Order shall come into force on 1st September 1999.
(2) This Order shall not have effect in relation to any inquest begun before the day on which it comes into force or to any post-mortem examination which, before that day, a coroner has directed or requested a medical practitioner to make.
The existing Sandwell North coroner’s district and Sandwell South coroner’s district of the County of West Midlands shall be amalgamated to form one coroner’s district to be known as the Sandwell coroner’s district.
The West Midlands (Coroners' Districts) Order 1974 shall be amended as follows–
(a) in article 3, for the word “seven” there shall be substituted the word “six”, and
(b) in the Schedule, for the two entries relating to Sandwell North coroner’s district and Sandwell South coroner’s district there shall be substituted the following entry–
