Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 (Amendment of Section 23) (No. 2) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 1st October 1999.

Section 2 Amendment of section 23(1) of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993

(1) Section 23(1) of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 (sums paid into the Distribution Fund and allocated for expenditure on or connected with the arts to be held for distribution by certain bodies) shall be amended as follows.

(2) In paragraph (a) (proportion of such sums so allocated to be held for distribution by the Arts Council of England), for “83.3 per cent.” there shall be substituted “71.1 per cent.”.

(3) In paragraph (c), the word “and” shall be omitted, and at the end of paragraph (d) there shall be inserted–

, and

(e) as to 12.2 per cent., for distribution by the Film Council.
