Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Stansted Airport Aircraft Movement Limit (Amendment) Order 1999 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Section 2

For article 2 of the Stansted Airport Aircraft Movement Limit Order 1987, there shall be substituted–

(2) Subject to article 3, at Stansted Airport the number of occasions on which aircraft may take-off or land shall be limited–

(a) to 120,000 in the period commencing on the date of coming into force of this Order and ending on 29th February 2000; and

(b) to 185,000 in each succeeding period of one year commencing on 1st March 2000.
