This Scheme shall come into force on 27th August 1999 and may be cited as The South of Luton-Watford Gap-Dunchurch Special Road Scheme 1956 (Partial Revocation) Scheme 1999.

The South of Luton-Watford Gap-Dunchurch Special Road Scheme 1956 (Partial Revocation) Scheme 1999
The South of Luton-Watford Gap-Dunchurch Special Road Scheme 1956 is hereby partially revoked so that each of the routes described in the Schedule to this Scheme and whose centre line is indicated by a heavy black line on the deposited plan shall cease to be a special road for the exclusive use of traffic of Classes I and II of the classes of traffic set out in Schedule 4 to the Highways Act 1980 from the date when this Scheme comes into force.
In this Scheme–
(1) All measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway.
A route connecting the eastbound carriageway of the Motorway with the A508 from its junction with the A508 for a distance of 135 metres eastwards (the special road on this route being given the reference letter ‘A’ on the deposited plan).
A route connecting the westbound carriageway of the Motorway with the A508 from its junction with the A508 for a distance of 180 metres eastwards (the special road on this route being given the reference letter ‘B’ on the deposited plan).
A route connecting the westbound carriageway of the Motorway with the A508 from its junction with the A508 for a distance of 220 metres westwards (the special road on this route being given the reference letter ‘C’ on the deposited plan).
