Section 1

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) (Amendment) Regulations 1999.

(2) These Regulations extend to Northern Ireland.

Section 2 Commencement

These Regulations shall come into force on 23rd September 1999 but shall not apply to transfers of undertakings completed before 1st November 1999.

Section 3 Amendment of Regulations

In Regulation 10 (2A)(b)(i) of the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 1981 for “the proposed dismissals” substitute “the transfer”.
