Section 1 Citation and commencement

(1) This Order may be cited as the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) (No.2) Order 1999.

(2) This Order shall come into force on 15th November 1999.

Section 2 Statement pursuant to section 14(1) of the Water Industry Act 1999

This Order makes no provision which is not—

(a) provision about functions conferred by or in virtue of the Water Industry Act 1999; or

(b) provision in connection with such provision.

Section 3 Transfer of functions

The functions of the Secretary of State under sections 143(7) and (8), 143A, 144A and 144B of the Water Industry Act 1991 are transferred to the National Assembly for Wales in relation to any water or sewerage undertaker whose area is wholly or mainy in Wales.

Section 4 Transfer of Property

The provisions of section 23(1) of the Government of Wales Act 1998 shall not apply to any documentary or electronic records.
