Section 1 Citation

This Order may be cited as the Competition Act 1998 (Commencement No. 4) Order 1999.

Section 2 Provisions of the Act commenced by this Order

10th November 1999 is the appointed day for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Competition Act 1998:

(a) in Schedule 12 (minor and consequential amendments) paragraphs 1(3)(a), (b) and (d);

(b) in Schedule 13 (transitional provisions and savings) paragraphs 40 and 41; and

(c) in Part I of Schedule 14 (repeals and revocations) the entries relating to sections 10(2) and 54(5) of, and paragraphs 3(1) and (2) of Schedule 8 to, the Fair Trading Act 1973 .
