Section 1
This Order may be cited as the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (Codes of Practice No. 5) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 1st March 1999.

Section 2
The revised code of practice laid in draft before Parliament on 7th December 1998 in connection with the matters referred to in section 66(a) of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 shall come into operation on 1st March 1999.
