Section 1Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994 (Exemption from Repeal) (Scotland) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 31st December 1999.

(2) In this Order “the 1994 Act ” means the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994.

Section 2Provisions

The local statutory provisions described in the Schedule to this Order are hereby exempted for the purposes of section 59(6)(a) of the 1994 Act and, accordingly, shall not cease to have effect on 31st December 1999.
