Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Central Nottinghamshire Healthcare National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1999 and shall come into force on 10th March 1999.

Section 2 Amendment of NHS trust Establishment Order

For article 3 of the Central Nottinghamshire Healthcare National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1992 there shall be substituted the following:–

Nature and functions of the Trust

(1) The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1) of the Act.

(2) The trust’s functions shall be:–

(a) to own and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act Central Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust Headquarters, Southwell Road, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire NG18 4HH and associated hospitals, establishments and facilities, and there to provide and manage hospital accommodation and services, and there and from there to provide and manage community health services; and

(b) to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act Newark Hospital, Bowbridge Road, Newark, Nottinghamshire NG24 4DE, and there to provide and manage hospital accommodation and services, and there and from there to provide and manage community health services.
