Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Warrington Hospital National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1999 and shall come into force on 25th January 1999.

Section 2 Amendment of Establishment Order

For article 3 of the Warrington Hospital National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1992 (nature and functions of the trust) there shall be substituted the following article:—

Nature and functions of the trust

(1) The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1)(b) of the Act.

(2) The trust’s functions shall be to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act—

(a) Warrington District Hospital, Lovely Lane, Warrington, Cheshire WA5 1QG;

(b) Highfield Hospital, Highfield Road, Widnes, Cheshire WA7 3JA;

and other associated hospitals, establishments and facilities in the area of North Cheshire Health Authority, and from there to provide and manage Hospital Accommodation and Services.
