Section 1Citation and commencement
These Regulations may be cited as the Education Act 1996 (Grant-Maintained Schools) (Grants to Governing Bodies in Liquidation) (Modification) Regulations 1999, and shall come into force on 1st April 1999.

Section 2Modification of section 276 of the Education Act 1996
With effect from 1st April 1999, section 276 of the Education Act 1996 shall have effect as if each reference in that provision to the funding authority were a reference to the Secretary of State.
