(1) This Order may be cited as The Health Authorities (England) Establishment Order 1996 Amendment and the Cambridgeshire and Norfolk Health Authorities (Establishment etc.) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 1st April 1999.
(2) In this Order:–
“the old Authorities” means the Cambridge & Huntingdon Health Authority, the East Norfolk Health Authority and the North West Anglia Health Authority, each of which is dissolved by article 2 of this Order;
“Primary Care Group” means a committee appointed under Regulation 14(1) of the Health Authorities (Membership and Procedure) Regulations 1996 in accordance with the Secretary of State’s directions of 15th October 1998 ;
“the principal Order ” means The Health Authorities (England) Establishment Order 1996 ;
“the relevant new Authority” means–
the Cambridgeshire Health Authority, established by article 3 of this Order, in respect of:–
all staff employed by, and all property, rights and liabilities belonging to, the Cambridge & Huntingdon Health Authority; and
all staff employed by, and all property, rights and liabilities belonging to, the North West Anglia Health Authority save those referred to in paragraph (b)(ii) below; and
the Norfolk Health Authority, established by article 4 of this Order in respect of:–
all staff employed by, and all property, rights and liabilities belonging to, the East Norfolk Health Authority; and
the staff, property, rights and liabilities of the North West Anglia Health Authority specified in the Schedule to this Order.
