Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Mancunian Community Health National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1999 and shall come into force on 22nd March 1999.

Section 2 Amendment of Establishment Order

For article 3 of the Mancunian Community Health National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1994 (nature and functions of the trust) there shall be substituted the following article:–

Nature and functions of the trust

(1) The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1) of the Act.

(2) The trust’s functions shall be:–

(a) to own and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act hospitals, establishments and facilities in the area of Manchester Health Authority which were previously managed or provided by one or more Health Authorities, and from there to provide and manage community health services; and

(b) to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act East Manchester Primary Care Resource Centre, Ashton Old Road, Alan Turing Way, Beswick, Manchester, and from there to provide and manage community health services.
