Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as The Lincoln District Healthcare National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1999 and shall come into force on 1st April 1999.

Section 2 Amendment of NHS trust Establishment Order

For Article 3 of The Lincoln District Healthcare National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1993 , there shall be substituted the following article:–

Nature and functions of the Trust

(1) The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1) of the Act.

(2) The trust’s functions shall be–

(a) to own and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act the John Coupland Hospital, Ropery Road, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire DN21 2TJ, and there to provide and manage hospital accommodation and services;

(b) to own and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act Gervas House, Long Leys Road, Lincoln LN1 1EJ, and there and from there to provide and manage community health services; and

(c) to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act hospitals or other establishments or facilities in the area of Lincolnshire Health Authority, and there to provide and manage hospital accommodation and services, and there and from there to provide and manage community health services.
