Section 1

This Order may be cited as the East Durham and Houghall Community College (Incorporation) Order 1999, and shall come into force on 1st April 1999 (“the Commencement Date”).

Section 2

On the Commencement Date there shall be established a body corporate called “East Durham and Houghall Community College” for the purpose of establishing and conducting from the operative date a new educational institution of that name (to be formed by the merger of Durham College of Agriculture and Horticulture and East Durham Community College).

Section 3

The “operative date” in relation to the further education corporation established by this Order shall be 1st June 1999, and the corporation shall conduct East Durham and Houghall Community College from that date.
