Section 1 Citation and commencement

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) (Amendment) Regulations 1999 and shall come into force on 14th April 1999.

(2) The Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) Regulations 1998 shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of these Regulations.

Section 2 Amendments to regulation 15 (duty to give reasons etc )

In regulation 15(2)–

(a) for subparagraph (b), there shall be substituted–

(b) regulation 9(2), (3) or (9),

(b) in subparagraph (d), for the words “regulation 11(10) or (11)” there shall be substituted “regulation 11(11) or (12)”.

Section 3 Amendments to Schedule 1

(1) Schedule 1 shall be amended as follows.

(2) In the Table, in item 2 after the last entry in the third column there shall be inserted–
