Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Exemption from Competition) (Scotland) Amendment Order 1999 and shall come into force on 1st May 1999.

(2) In this Order, “the principal Order” means the Local Government (Exemption from Competition) (Scotland) Order 1995 .

Section 2 Amendment of principal Order

In article 3 of the principal Order, for “2000” there shall be substituted “2001”.

Section 3 Amendment of principal Order

In article 7(2) of the principal Order, for “2000” there shall be substituted “2001”.

Section 4 Amendment of principal Order

In columns 2 to 9 of Schedule 2 to the principal Order–

(a) for “1999” wherever it appears, there shall be substituted “2000”; and

(b) for “2000” wherever it appears, there shall be substituted “2001”.

Section 5 Revocation

The Local Government (Exemption from Competition) (Scotland) Amendment Order 1998 is hereby revoked.
