Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service Trusts (Membership and Procedure) Amendment Regulations 1999 and shall come into force on 24th March 1999.

(2) In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations ” means The National Health Service Trusts (Membership and Procedure) Regulations 1990 .

Section 2 Amendment of the principal Regulations

In paragraph (5) of regulation 11 of the principal Regulations (disqualification for appointment of chairmen and non-executive directors) , after the words “National Blood Authority” there are inserted the words “, the National Health Service Information Authority, the National Institute for Clinical Excellence”.
