Section 1Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Health Authorities (Membership and Procedure) Amendment Regulations 1999 and shall come into force on 24th March 1999.

(2) In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations ” means The Health Authorities (Membership and Procedure) Regulations 1996 .

Section 2Amendment of the principal Regulations

In Schedule 2 to the principal Regulations (Special Health Authorities of which the chairman and members are not disqualified under regulation 10(1)(g)) , the following entries are inserted at the appropriate point in the alphabetical order: “National Health Service Information Authority”, “National Institute for Clinical Excellence”.
