The Local Government Act 1988 (Competition) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1999

Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (Competition) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1999 and shall come into force on 1st May 1999.

(2) In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations” means the Local Government Act 1988 (Competition) (Scotland) Regulations 1997 .

Section 2 Amendment of principal Regulations

In regulation 4 of the principal Regulations–

(a) in paragraph (1), for “2001” there shall be substituted “2002”; and

(b) in paragraph (2), for “2000” there shall be substituted “2001”.

Section 3 Amendment of principal Regulations

In regulation 6 of the principal Regulations–

(a) in paragraph (1), for “1st April 2001” there shall be substituted “1st April 2002”;

(b) in paragraph (2), for “1st April 2000 to 30th September 2000” there shall be substituted “1st April 2001 to 30th September 2001”; and

(c) in paragraph (3), for “1st October 2000 to 31st March 2001” there shall be substituted “1st October 2001 to 31st March 2002”.

Section 4 Amendment of principal Regulations

In column 2 of Schedule 6 to the principal Regulations–

(a) for “1999” wherever it appears, there shall be substituted “2000”; and

(b) for “2000” wherever it appears, there shall be substituted “2001”.

Section 5 Revocation

The Local Government Act 1988 (Competition) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1998 are hereby revoked.
