Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Limit in Relation to Licences to Provide Radio Multiplex Services Order 1999 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Section 2 Amendment to paragraph 11 of Part III of Schedule 2 to the Broadcasting Act 1990

(1) Paragraph 11 of Part III of Schedule 2 to the Broadcasting Act 1990 (limits in relation to licences to provide national radio services, radio multiplex services or digital sound programme services) shall be amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) and (3) below.

(2) In sub-paragraph (4)(a) for “10 per cent.” there is substituted “20 per cent.” and for “more than one body corporate” there is substituted “more than four bodies corporate”.

(3) In sub-paragraph (4)(b) for “10 per cent.” there is substituted “20 per cent.” and for “three or more bodies corporate” there is substituted “six or more bodies corporate”.
