Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Patents (Convention Countries) (Amendment) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 24th May 2000.

Section 2

Taiwan is a convention country for the purposes of section 5 of the Patents Act 1977.

Section 3

The Patents (Convention Countries) Order 1994 shall be amended by the insertion in Schedule 1 thereto of Taiwan in proper alphabetical order.
