Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the GLA Side Roads (London Borough of Croydon) Designation Order 2000 and shall come into force on 19th June 2000.

Section 2 Designation of GLA side roads

(1) The roads in the London borough of Croydon specified in the Schedule to this Order are hereby designated as GLA side roads .

(2) The description of a road includes the intersection of that road and any other road that crosses it at the same level.

(3) In the Schedule “m” means metres.

(4) In accordance with section 124A(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, 3rd July 2000 is hereby specified as the date on which the designated roads are to become GLA side roads.

Section 1

Acacia Road between its junction with London Road (A23) and a point 3m north east of the south western rear boundary of 1575 London Road.

Section 2

Alton Road—

(a) (east arm) between its junction with Purley Way (A23) and a point 2m north east of the party wall between 49 and 51 Alton Road;

(b) (west arm) (i) (north side) between its junction with Purley Way (A23) and a point opposite a point 16m east of the party wall between 55 and 57 Alton Road; (ii) (south side) between its junction with Purley Way (A23) and a point 14.5m east of the party wall between 55 and 57 Alton Road.

Section 3

Beatrice Avenue between its junction with London Road (A23) and a point opposite the south western boundary of “Acklands”, London Road.

Beddington Farm Road between its junction with Purley Way (A23) and a point 51.5m south west of the north eastern flank wall of 220 Purley Way.

Section 5

Boston Road between its junction with Thornton Road (A23) and a point 1m east of the eastern rear wall of 299 Thornton Road.

Brighton Road (A235)—

(a) (north west side) between its junction with the A23 and a point 2m south west of the party wall between 924 and 926 Brighton Road;

(b) (south east side) between its junction with the A23 and a point opposite the party wall between 915 and 917 Brighton Road.
