Section 1Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the GLA Side Roads (London Borough of Lewisham) Designation Order 2000 and shall come into force on 19th June 2000.

Section 2Designation of GLA side roads

(1) The roads in the London borough of Lewisham specified in the Schedule to this Order are hereby designated as GLA side roads .

(2) The description of a road includes the intersection of that road and any other road that crosses it at the same level.

(3) In the Schedule “m” means metres.

(4) In accordance with section 124A(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, 3rd July 2000 is hereby specified as the date on which the designated roads are to become GLA side roads.

Section 1

Alpha Road from a point 5m south of the north face of 414 New Cross Road to the south kerbline of New Cross Road.

Section 2

Amersham Vale from a point opposite the south face of 409 New Cross road to the north kerbline of New Cross Road.

Section 3

Avonley Road from a point 15m north east of the south west boundary of 41 New Cross Road to the north east kerbline of New Cross Road.

Section 4

Batavia Mews from a point 9m west of the north corner of 5a Clifton Rise to the west kerbline of Clifton Rise.

Section 5

Billington Road from a point 13.5m north east of the south west face of 141 New Cross Road to the north east kerbline of New Cross Road.

Briant Street—

(a) (northern end)

(i) (west side) from a point 4m north of the south boundary of Kender Primary School to a point opposite the north kerbline of Besson Street;

(ii) (east side) from a point 16.2m north of the south boundary of 58 and 60 Besson Street (public house) to the north kerbline of Besson Street;

(b) (southern end) from a point 11m south west of the north east face of 92 New Cross Road to the south west kerbline of New Cross Road.

Brookmill Road from a point 9.2m south of a point opposite the south face of 1 to 12 Norfolk House to the south kerbline of Deptford Broadway.

Section 8

Casella Road from a point 6.7m north east of the south west boundary of 119 New Cross Road to the north east kerbline of New Cross Road.

Clifton Rise from a point 2m north of the common boundary of 6 and 6a to the north kerbline of New Cross Road.

Section 10

Dartmouth Hill from the south kerbline of Blackheath Hill to be gated closure the Dartmouth Hill.

Deptford Church Street from a point 25m north of the south boundary of 27 to 29 New Butt Lane to the north kerbline of Deptford Broadway.

Deptford High Street from a point 3.5m south of the common boundary of 1a and 3 Deptford High Street to the north kerbline of Deptford Broadway.

Faulkner Street from a point 1.2m east of the west face of Hammond House to the east kerbline of Kender Street.

(a) access road of retail site at 263 New Cross Road from a point 2m south of the south boundary wall of the petrol filling station at 263e New Cross Road to the north kerbline of New Cross Road;

(b) exist road of retail side at 263 New Cross Road from a point 10m north of the south boundary wall of the petrol filling station at 263e New Cross Road to the north kerbline of New Cross Road.

Pagnell Street from a point 3m north of the south face of 379 New Cross Road to the north kerbline of New Cross Road.

Pepys Road—

(a) (west side) from a point 7m north of the south face of 320 Queen’s Road to the south kerbline of Queen’s Road;

(b) (east side) from a point 7m south of the point opposite the south face of 320 Queens Road to the south kerbline of New Cross Road.

Section 30

Pomeroy Street—

(a) (northern end)

(i) (west side) from the south west kerbline of New Cross Road southward for 47m;

(ii) (east side) from the south west kerbline of New Cross Road southward for 65m;

(b) (southern end) on the east side from a point 16.6m north of a point opposite the south face of 255a Queen’s Road to the north kerbline of Queen’s Road.

Prince of Wales Road—

(a) (north west side) from a point 12m south west of a point opposite the south western most wall of 1 St German’s Place to the south kerbline of Shooters Hill Road;

(b) (south east side) from the north west kerbline of the access road fronting 2-22 Shooters Hill Road to the south kerbline of Shooters Hill Road.

St. James’s from a point 8m south of the north face of the ex-Council buildings on St. James’s east side to the south kerbline of New Cross Road.

Tanners Hill (western arm)

(i) (west side) from a point 6.6m north of the common boundary of 20 and 22 to the south kerbline of New Cross Road;

(ii) (east side) from the south kerbline of New Cross Road southward for 10m.
