Section 1Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the GLA Side Roads (City of Westminster) Designation Order 2000 and shall come into force on 19th June 2000.

Section 2Designation of GLA side roads

(1) The roads in the City of Westminster specified in the Schedule to this Order are hereby designated as GLA side roads .

(2) The description of a road includes the intersection of that road and any other road that crosses it at the same level.

(3) In the Schedule “m” means metres.

(4) In accordance with section 124A(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, 3rd July 2000 is hereby specified as the date on which the designated roads are to become GLA side roads.

Section 1

Albert Gate—

(a) (west side) between its junction with Knightsbridge (A4) and a point 3.5m north of the north western kerbline of Knightsbridge;

(b) (east side) between its junction with Knightsbridge (A4) and a point 3.3m north of the north western kerbline of Knightsbridge.

Section 2

Bowater House (east side vehicle exit) (east side) between its junction with Knightsbridge (A4) and a point 2.2m north west of the north western kerbline of Knightsbridge, to a point at the southern facia pillar of Bowater House.

Section 3

Constitution Hill between its junction with Duke of Wellington Place and a point 50m east of the eastern kerbline of Duke of Wellington Place and a point opposite.

Section 4

Grosvenor Crescent—

(a) (north side) between its junction with Duke of Wellington Place and a point 19m south west of the western kerbline of Grosvenor Place;

(b) (south side) between its junction with Duke of Wellington Place and a point 15m south west of the western kerbline of Grosvenor Place.

Section 5

Hyde Park Hotel—

(a) (unnamed vehicle entrance) (east side) between its junction with Knightsbridge (A4) and a point 6.2m north west of the north western kerbline of Knightsbridge;

(b) (unnamed vehicle entrance) (west side) between its junction with Knightsbridge (A4) and a point 3m north west of the north western kerbline of Knightsbridge and extending eastwards for a distance of 8m, to include the northern section of a single taxi rank.

Section 6

Hyde Park House—

(a) (east side vehicle exit) (east side) between its junction with Knightsbridge (A4) and a point 2.5m north of the north western kerbline of Knightsbridge;

(b) (east side vehicle exit) (west side) between its junction with Knightsbridge (A4) and a point 2.7m north of the north western kerbline of Knightsbridge;

(c) (west side vehicle entrance) (east side) between its junction with Knightsbridge (A4) and a point 3.2m north of the north western kerbline of Knightsbridge;

(d) (west side vehicle entrance) (west side) between its junction with Knightsbridge (A4) and a point 3.4m north of the north western kerbline of Knightsbridge.

Section 7

Knightsbridge Green—

(a) (west side) between its northern junction with Brompton Road (A4) and a point 2.6m north west of the extended kerbline of Brompton Road and a point opposite, on the northern end of the island situated at this junction;

(b) (west side) between its southern junction with Brompton Road (A4) and a point 3.8m north west of the extended kerbline of Brompton Road and a point opposite, on the southern end of the island situated at this junction.

Section 8

Lancelot Place—

(a) (north east side) between its junction with Brompton Road (A4) and a point 5.7m north west of the extended kerbline of Brompton Road;

(b) (south west side) between its junction with Brompton Road (A4) and a point 3.4m north west of the extended kerbline of Brompton Road.

Section 9

Montpelier Street (north east side) between its junction with Brompton Road (A4) and a point 21.3m north west of the north western extended kerbline of Brompton Road.

Section 10

Old Barrack Yard between its junction with Knightsbridge (A4) and a point 10m south of the south eastern kerbline of Knightsbridge and a point opposite.

Section 11

Piccadilly—

(a) (westbound slip road) between its junction with Duke of Wellington Place and a point 35m north east of the eastern portal of the Piccadilly underpass and a point opposite;

(b) (eastbound slip road) between its junction with Duke of Wellington Place and a point 35m north east of the eastern portal of the Piccadilly underpass and a point opposite.

Section 12

William Street (east side) between its junction with Knightsbridge (A4) and the common boundary between 3 and 4 William Street House.

Section 13

Wilton Place—

(a) (west side) between its junction with Knightsbridge (A4) and a point 14m south of the southern kerbline of Knightsbridge;

(b) (east side) between its junction with Knightsbridge (A4) and a point 18m south of the southern kerbline of Knightsbridge.

Section 14

Aberdeen Place—

(a) (north side) between its junction with Maida Vale (A5) and a point 25m south west of the south western flank wall of 69-76 (Block 8) Clifton Court;

(b) (south side) between its junction with Maida Vale (A5) and a point 8m south west of the common boundary between 1/8 Aberdeen Place and 508 Edgware Road.

Section 15

Bell Street between its junction with Edgware Road (A5) and a point 5m north east of the north western kerbline of Edgware Road and a point opposite.

Section 16

Blomfield Road—

(a) (north side) between its junction with Maida Vale (A5) and a point 34m south west of the south western kerbline of Maida Vale;

(b) (south side) between its junction with Maida Vale (A5) and a point 17.5m south west of the south eastern kerbline of Maida Vale.

Section 17

Boscobel Street—

(a) (north side) between its junction with Edgware Road (A5) and a point 15m north east of the north western kerbline of Edgware Road;

(b) (south side) between its junction with Edgware Road (A5) and a point 10m north east of the north eastern kerbline of Edgware Road.

Section 18

Broadley Street—

(a) (north side) between its junction with Edgware Road (A5) and a point 28m north east of the north western kerbline of Edgware Road;

(b) (south side) between its junction with Edgware Road (A5) and a point 10m north east of the north western kerbline of Edgware Road.

Bryanston Street between its junction with Edgware Road (A5) and a point 72m west of the north east flank wall of 53 Bryanston Street and a point opposite.

Burwood Place—
