Section 1 Citation and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Greater London Authority Act 1999 (Commencement No. 7, Transitional Provisions and Amendment) Order 2000.

(2) In this Order “ the Act ” means the Greater London Authority Act 1999; and “the Receiver” means the Receiver for the Metropolitan Police District.

Section 2 Commencement

The provisions of the Act specified in the first column of the Schedule shall come into force on 3rd July 2000, where applicable, to the extent specified or subject to the transitional provision made in the second column.

Section 3 Amendment of earlier commencement order

(1) The Greater London Authority Act 1999 (Commencement No. 4 and Adaptation) Order 2000 shall be amended as follows.

(2) In the second column of Part 3 of the Schedule, opposite the entry for Part IV Chapter XIV , before “in so far as not already in force”, there shall be inserted “with the exception of section 287(2)”.
