Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) (Variation) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 1st August 2000.

(2) In this Order, “the 1999 transfer order” means the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) Order 1999

Section 2 1999 transfer order: variation

In Schedule 1 to the 1999 transfer order, for the entry for the Education Reform Act 1988 (c. 40) , substitute:

Education Reform Act 1988 (c. 40) except sections 197, 199, 209, 226 and Schedules 8 and 11.

It is directed that the functions under section 218(6) and, so far as it relates thereto, (6ZA) shall be exercisable by the Assembly concurrently with the Secretary of State.
