This Order may be cited as the Employment Code of Practice (Industrial Action Ballots and Notice to Employers) Order 2000 and comes into force on 18th September 2000.

Section 2Appointed date for revised code of practice
The day appointed for the coming into effect of the revised Code of Practice on Industrial Action Ballots and Notice to Employers issued by the Secretary of State pursuant to section 203 of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 (the draft of which was laid before both Houses of Parliament on 26th June 2000 and approved by resolutions of the House of Commons on 18th July 2000 and the House of Lords on 14th July 2000) is 18th September 2000.
