Section 1 Citation and commencement

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Local Government Pension Scheme (Management and Investment of Funds) (Amendment) Regulations 2000.

(2) These Regulations shall come into force on 17th October 2000, but regulation 3 shall have effect from 19th August 1998.

Section 2 Amendment of Regulations

The Local Government Pension Scheme (Management and Investment of Funds) Regulations 1998 are amended in accordance with regulations 3 and 4 of these Regulations.

Section 3 Definition of “investment”

In regulation 3(6)(b), for “a member State” substitute “an EEA State (as defined in that Act) ”.

Section 4 Schedule 1—Limits on investments

In paragraph 10 of Part I of Schedule 1, for “All insurance contracts” substitute “Any single insurance contract”.
