Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Hartlepool Water (Amendment of Local Enactments) Order 2000, and shall come into force on 21st September 2000.

(2) In this Order—

“Anglian” means Anglian Water Services Limited; and

“Hartlepool” means Hartlepool Water plc.

Section 2 Amendment of references in local statutory provisions

(1) Any reference to, or to the undertaking of, Hartlepool in any local statutory provision and in any charges scheme made by Hartlepool under section 143 of the Water Industry Act 1991 shall have effect, subject to paragraph (2), as a reference to, or to the undertaking of, Anglian.

(2) Paragraph (1) shall only apply to any local statutory provision or charges scheme in relation to the area, things or persons in relation to which or to whom that provision or scheme has effect before 1st April 2000.
