Section 1

(1) This Order may be cited as the Private Hire Vehicles (London) Act 1998 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2000.

(2) In this Order “ the Act ” means the Private Hire Vehicles (London) Act 1998.

Section 2

The following provisions of the Act shall come into force on 22nd January 2001—

Sections 1, 3, 4(1), (3) and (4), 5(5), 15(1) to (3) and (5), 16(1) and (2), 17 to 20, 21(1) and (3), 22(1) and (4), 23 to 29, 32, 33, 34(1) and (2) and 36 to 38.

Section 3

The following provisions of the Act shall come into force on 22nd October 2001—

Sections 2, 4(5) and (6), 5(1) to (4), 21(4) and 22(5) and (6).
