Section 1Citation and interpretation
(1) This Order may be cited as the Adoption (Intercountry Aspects) Act 1999 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2000.
(2) In this Order “ the Act ” means the Adoption (Intercountry Aspects) Act 1999.

Section 2Appointed day
31st January 2000 is the day appointed for the coming into force of section 13 (construction of certain references in 1976 and 1978 Acts) of the Act in so far as it inserts a new subsection (3A) after subsection (3) of section 72 of the Adoption Act 1976 .
