Section 1Commencement and citation

This Order may be cited as The A406 Trunk Road (Gunnersbury Avenue, Hounslow) Red Route (Prescribed Route) Traffic Order 2000, and shall come into force on 17th March 2000.

Section 2Interpretation

In this Order–

(a) a reference to an article followed by a number is a reference to the article of this Order so numbered;

(b) causing includes permitting.

Section 3Prescribed Routes

Subject to the provisions of article 4, no person shall cause any vehicle on entering the A406 Gunnersbury Avenue from the northernmost exit of the unnamed service road fronting Nos. 127 to 139 and The International School of London, Gunnersbury Avenue in the London Borough of Hounslow to proceed in any direction other than left and northbound into A406 Gunnersbury Avenue.

Section 4Exemptions

The provisions of article 3 shall not apply–

(a) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden; or

(b) to a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes.
