Section 1 Citation, commencement and application

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Local Authorities (Members' Allowances) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 1st April 2000.

(2) These Regulations apply to local authorities and other bodies in England only.

Section 2 Increase of allowances

(1) Regulation 17 (allowance in respect of conferences and meetings) of the Local Authorities (Members' Allowances) Regulations 1991 is amended, in paragraph (2), by the substitution for “£29.48” of “ £30.39”.

(2) The amendment made by paragraph (1) applies in relation to attendance at a conference or meeting on or after 1st April 2000.

Section 3 Revocation

The Local Authorities (Members' Allowances) (Amendment) Regulations 1999 are revoked insofar as they relate to local authorities and other bodies in England.
