This Order may be cited as the A4 Trunk Road (Bath Road, Hillingdon) (Bus Lane) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 10th April 2000.

The A4 Trunk Road (Bath Road, Hillingdon) (Bus Lane) Order 2000
In this Order:
“the trunk road” means that length of the A4 Trunk Road in the London Borough of Hillingdon known as Bath Road;
“Sipson Way” means the road of that name in the London Borough of Hillingdon;
“bicycle” means a bicycle not being a motor vehicle;
“bus” means a public service vehicle as defined in section 1 of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981 ;
“taxi” has the meaning given in regulation 4 of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 1994 ; and
“eastbound bus lane” means the left hand or nearside lane of the eastbound carriageway of the trunk road between a point 57 metres west of the eastern kerbline of Sipson Way and a point 6 metres west of the eastern kerbline of Sipson Way, a distance of approximately 51 metres.
(1) Subject to paragraph (2), no person shall cause or permit a vehicle to enter or proceed in the eastbound bus lane.
(2) Paragraph (1) shall not apply to:–
(a) a bus, a licensed taxi or a bicycle;
(b) any vehicle being used for Police, Fire Brigade or Ambulance purposes; and
(c) anything done at the direction or with the permission of a constable in uniform or a traffic warden.
