Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the the Epicentre LEAP Ellesmere Port Cheshire Education Action Zone (Amendment) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 6th April 2001.

Section 2 Amendment of the Epicentre LEAP Ellesmere Port Cheshire Education Action Zone Order 1999

(1) The Epicentre LEAP Ellesmere Port Cheshire Education Action Zone Order 1999 shall be amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) and (3) of this article.

(2) In article 4(c) for “six persons” substitute “twelve persons”;

(3) There shall be inserted after article 9 the following article—

Removal from office by Forum

(9A) A member of the Forum may be removed from office by the Forum in the following circumstances—

(a) in the case of a member who was a governor of a zone school at the time he was appointed to the Forum pursuant to article 4(a), if that person ceases to be a governor of that zone school;

(b) in the case of a member appointed pursuant to article 4(a), if the school whose governing body appointed the member is discontinued; and

(c) in the case of a member appointed pursuant to paragraphs (a) or (c) of Article 5, if that person no longer appears to the Forum to represent the interests of either business or the education sector generally in Cheshire, in the area served by the zone schools, as the case may be.
