Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) (Amendment) Regulations 2001 and shall come into force—

(a) for the purposes of this paragraph and regulation 17 of the principal Regulations, on 21st March 2001, and

(b) for all other purposes, on 1st September 2001.

(2) In these Regulations “the principal Regulations” means the Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations 2001 .

Section 2 Amendment of the Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations 2001

(1) The principal Regulations are amended as provided in paragraphs (2) and (3).

(2) In regulation 14(11)—

(a) for “(b)” there is substituted “(a)”, and

(b) for “(c)” there is substituted “(b)”.

(3) In regulation 16(2)(b), for “Registration” there is substituted “Regulation”.
