Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Education Act 1997 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2001.

Section 2

The following provisions of the Education Act 1997 shall come into force on 1st September 2001—

section 37(5)

section 57(1) and (4) to the extent that those subsections relate to the provisions of Schedules 7 and 8 specified below.

In Schedule 7, paragraph 30(b)

In Schedule 8 the repeal—

of sections 400 and 401 of the Education Act 1996, and

in section 408(4)(l) of that Act, of “, 400, 401”.
