Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Teacher Training Agency (Additional Functions) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 26th April 2001.

Section 2

In addition to their other functions the Teacher Training Agency may approve persons for the purpose of carrying out the assessment of candidates seeking exemption from induction requirements in accordance with paragraph 17 of Schedule 1 to the Education (Induction Arrangements for School Teachers) (England) Regulations 1999 .
