Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Thurrock and Basildon College (Incorporation) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 1st June 2001 (“the commencement date”).

Section 2

There shall be established as from the commencement date a body corporate called “Thurrock and Basildon College”, for the purpose of establishing and conducting as from the operative date a new educational institution of that name (to be formed by the merger of Thurrock College and Basildon College).

Section 3

The operative date in relation to the further education corporation established by this Order shall be 1st August 2001, and the corporation shall conduct Thurrock and Basildon College from that date.
