Section 1 Citation, commencement and application

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Student Loans) (Amendment) (England and Wales) Regulations 2001 and shall come into force on 1st August 2001.

(2) These Regulations do not apply in or as regards Scotland .

Section 2 Amendment of Regulations

The Education (Student Loans) Regulations 1998 shall be amended as follows.

Section 3 Amendment of Regulations

In regulation 6(1) to (4) for each of the figures in the first column below wherever it appears there shall be substituted the corresponding figure in the second column below:

Section 4 Amendment of Regulations

In paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 in the definition of “disability related benefits” for the words “disability working allowance” substitute the words “disabled person’s tax credit”.
