Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Student Support) Regulations 2001 (Amendment) Regulations 2001 and shall come into force on 25th May 2001.

Section 2

The Education (Student Support) Regulations 2001 shall be amended as follows.

Section 3

In regulation 5—

(a) in paragraph (2) substitute for the figure “19” the figure “18”; and

(b) after paragraph (2) insert the following paragraph:

(2A) For the purposes of paragraph (2) where periods of full-time study and work experience alternate within any week of the course the days of full-time study shall be aggregated with any weeks of full-time study in determining the number of weeks of full-time study in each year.
