Section 1

(1) This Order may be cited as the Government of Wales Act 1998 (Commencement No.6) Order 2001.

(2) In this Order—

“ the Act ” means the Government of Wales Act 1998; and

“the No.4 Order ” means the Government of Wales Act 1998 (Commencement No.4) Order 1999

Section 2

(1) The date of 14 May 2001 is appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Act—

Section 105(1) to (4) and, so far as not already brought into force by the No.4 Order, section 105(5) (Forestry Commissioners)

Schedule 7 paragraphs 1(3), 2 to 7, 9(1), 9(2) so far as not already brought into force by the No.4 Order, 10 and 11 (Forestry Commissioners).

(2) Subject to paragraph (3), the provisions of the Act referred to in paragraph (1) shall (so far as not already brought into force) not apply in relation to the financial year beginning on 1st April 2000, or any earlier financial year.

(3) Section 105(4) shall not apply in relation to the financial year beginning on 1st April 2001, or any earlier financial year.
