This Order may be cited as the Utilities Act 2000 (Commencement No. 4 and Transitional Provisions) (Amendment) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 14th May 2001.

The Utilities Act 2000 (Commencement No. 4 and Transitional Provisions) (Amendment) Order 2001
(1) Article 8 of the Utilities Act 2000 (Commencement No. 4 and Transitional Provisions) Order 2000 is amended as follows.
(2) For paragraph (2)(b) there is substituted—
After sub-paragraph (1) there is inserted—
(1A) For the purposes of this paragraph “electricity supplier” means any public electricity supplier, any holder of a licence granted under section 6(2) of this Act who is also the holder of a licence granted under section 6(1)(c) of this Act or any holder of a licence granted under section 6(2) who is an affiliate of the holder of a licence granted under section 6(1)(c) and an “affiliate” means any holding company, subsidiary or subsidiary of a holding company of such a licence holder in each case within the meaning of sections 736, 736A and 736B of the Companies Act 1985 .
(3) In paragraph (2)(c) for “whose licence has been revoked in accordance with its conditions” there is substituted “to whom notice of revocation of his licence has been given”.
