Section 1 Commencement and Citation

These Regulations may be cited as the Employment Zones (Amendment) ( No. 2) Regulations 2001 and shall come into force on 2nd July 2001.

Section 2 Amendment of the Employment Zones Regulations 2000

The Schedule to the Employment Zones Regulations 2000 shall be amended as follows—

(a) the entries in columns 1 and 2 relating to the Employment Zone of Merthyr Tydfil, Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent shall be omitted and the following substituted—

(i) in column 1, “Heads of the Valleys and Caerphilly”;

(ii) in column 2, “The county borough of Blaenau Gwent, the county borough of Caerphilly, the county borough of Merthyr Tydfil and the county borough of Torfaen.”;

(b) in relation to the employment zone of Doncaster, after “the metropolitan district of Rotherham” there shall be added “and the non-metropolitan district of Bassetlaw”.
