Section 1

This Order may be cited as The A417 Trunk Road (Cirencester Bypass–Hare Bushes Service Area) (Detrunking) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 7th June 2001.

Section 2

In this Order—

(i) “principal road” as a classification for a highway means that the highway is a principal road for the purposes of enactments and instruments which refer to highways classified as principal roads and is also classified for the purpose of every other enactment and instrument which refers to highways classified by the Secretary of State; and

(ii) “the trunk road” means the A417 trunk road.

Section 3

From the date when this Order comes into force the length of trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order shall cease to be trunk road and shall be classified as principal road.
